From a registered herd base dating back to 1996, Wannon Pastoral Angus is a family owned and operated stud. We are committed to maximising the output of high-quality beef whilst maintaining a commercial stocking rate and operational efficiency. Our breeding program is dedicated to genetic improvement in calf profitability that grows with each generation.

Quality and Integrity is paramount, and Wannon Pastoral has been building numbers only from the best females which meet the strict selection criteria. Run by Hamish and Robert Mackinnon, WP is based in the Western District. The herd comprises 700 cows of which 200 are stud cattle. The herd is spread across two properties: Ballyglunin Run, Hensley Park and Bellwyn, Coleraine. Our stud cattle compete for feed with sheep and other cattle in a commercial stocking rate environment for proven performance.
